My name is Kiran and I would like to welcome you to my food blog ‘Kay’s Caramelized Confessions’. I live in Pakistan and most of my recipes are a reflection of that. Though they can’t be labelled traditional (especially the desserts) but they all have that local element. So a pinch of red chili flakes in the white sauce, lots of red chili pepper in the omelettes and whatever cream cheese or cooking chocolate is easily available.
By profession, I am a marketeer by profession and my corporate life has pretty much always involved playing with numbers. However, in the midst of all this I discovered quite by accident my passion for food.
It was a box of brownies that I took to work one day; the praise I received and how quickly the brownies finished which made me realize I need to start doing something in food. That was the start of the blog – an online repository of recipes, and a place where I could talk about food in as much detail as possible, without being interrupted. From food basics, to recipes, to how-to’s, to restaurant reviews and food discussions, I am trying to cover it all in as much as detail as possible.
Initially this blog was just a part-time hobby where I would post maybe once a month but gradually it has become far more. It’s still a part-time hobby but a pretty part-time hobby where I try to post at least once a week.
